about

This is a bit more of a crowd-pleaser - ever since my visit to Hayling Island the music stayed good, but only to me, and there is no point in being on Bandcamp and trying to get rich and famous if the only person who could possibly like my music is me. Despite these good words, this is still something that only I will like - but listening to it I do feel a bit more connected to the people around me - not that there've been many lately - this morning all I did was toddle on down to HMV to see what films have come out on DVD this week (answer = zero). Really, with the fact that I don't eat much, don't want to do much or go anywhere, and I don't want any possessions except DVDs, which seem to be extinct nowadays, I really don't need any money at all. So the fact that my music has, startlingly, failed to make me rich isn't such a downer. And I seem to be becoming more and more of a loner, so my astonishing lack of fame isn't such a downer either. It's very sad that you have to reach the near-end of your life before you finally stop wanting the things that you never got - and even when there is a wisp of something wonderful ahead, it just fills you with gloom - truly, the happiest days are the ones when I wake up and realise there is absolutely nothing that I want to do all day, which is just as well cos I can't think of a fucking thing to do anyway.

recorded today, yes it does look a bit like a Sonnov album (my second favourite muso on Bandcamp), but ten-minute tracks are always the best and always have been, photo yet again from a very happy day on Hayling Island a couple of days ago
