about

it's a bit lazy, but sometimes that's the best stuff. There's not been many times in my life when I've heard an album or gone to a gig and wished that the musician(s) had tried harder, that the orchestra had had twice as many members, that the drum solo had gone on twice as long, that the band had added a saxophonist and bagpipist, that the album had been a double one, that the band had spent twice as long in the studio honing their crap.

In the past week I've had a couple of attempts to walk around the countryside and have come to the conclusion that it's the stupidest thing I could possibly do - the place is one vast puddle. So instead I woke up and heard the George Galloway result. I don't know what to think. I like anyone who stirs things up. I've given up with trying to make my own life interesting - if any attempt involves other people then it almost always ends in things being even more boring.

If it involves going outside then the rain kills it. I don't want to read anything anymore and can barely be bothered to write this. This has all left a huge space which I happily fill by making the world's simplest art/paitnings/splashings, the odd bit of music as lazy as possible, and listening to the radio news stations tell me just how wonderfully this country is falling to pieces - all this shite was always so obviously going to happen and I feel blessed that I really just do not care.
